General Dentistry

At Pennyhill Dental Care, we offer a comprehensive range of general dental treatments for adults and children. We offer both NHS and private dental care, with our aim being to promote good oral health and to ensure that our patients have strong, healthy teeth and gums.

We actively promote regular oral health checks and firmly believe that prevention is better than cure. We urge all of our patients, young and old, to attend a dental check-up every 6 months and we also recommend regular dental hygiene sessions.

General dental treatments

We offer a full range of general dental treatments, including restorative treatments, such as fillings, crowns and dental bridges. We also offer children's dentistry, dental hygiene, routine check-ups, dentures, gum disease treatment and management and root canal treatment. We provide evening and weekend appointments on request, and urgent appointments are available as well as a range of preventative dental treatments.

Dental hygiene

We encourage patients to have regular dental hygiene sessions as part of their preventative dentistry plan. Dental hygiene services remove plaque from the mouth, leave your mouth feeling really fresh and clean and give your teeth a healthy sheen. Dental hygiene is particularly important for patients with signs of gum disease.

Our friendly, experienced dental hygienists offer a full range of treatments, from scale and polish treatment and preventative treatments to root planing. Our hygienists can also offer advice about giving up smoking, healthy eating and oral hygiene.

Children's dentistry

Our friendly dentists have experience in treating younger patients and they do all they can to make going to the dentist fun for children. We understand that some children may be very nervous about being in an unfamiliar environment, and we do everything we can to make the dental chair less daunting and make going to the dentist a fun and enjoyable experience. We invite children to ask questions, we talk about their teeth with them and we encourage them to read books, play with toys or watch television to relax them.

We advise parents to bring their children for regular check-ups from an early age, to reduce the risk of oral health problems. This also means that children to get used to going to the dentist so that they are familiar with the sights and sounds, and do not feel scared or anxious about seeing the dentist.
